Trial Balance Consulting have been assigned by our long standing client, a high profile global manufacturer with a size-able North Devon based finance function. They currently seek to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join them on a full time, permanent basis. The company promoted a blended working arrangement for candidates that desire this - three days office based with two being operated remotely.
This opportunity is broader than the title would suggest and works as part of a highly experienced and efficient finance team. Core responsibilities to include:
- Production of month and quarter end reports with commentary
- Finance business partnering
- Inventory controls and reporting
- Financial forecasting
- Fixed asset reporting
- Costing reviews
- Ensuring reporting standards are met
- Project accounting and modelling
- Supporting external audits
Are you the person that we’re looking? The successful candidate will no doubt be a professionally qualified individual (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), and possess exceptional technical accounting ability at a similar level, ideally gained within a manufacturing setting. The post holder will be an experienced manager and able to oversee the output of transactional team member as well as having the ability to communicate effectively with the senior management team across all areas of the business. They will have sound IT skills with experience of working to maximum efficiency with modern accounting platforms and MS Excel. However, whilst technical experience is vital, so is a commercially astute, questioning, problem solving and passionate attitude. The role works with a very motivated and energetic team and it is essential that the successful candidate fits with the proactive culture of the business.
