Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively retained by a high performing, entrepreneurially minded, and extremely spirited SME to recruit their Group Director of Finance, a brand new role in a business with no less than three core brands, all in completely different industry sectors, and all growing at a extraordinary pace. Up until now they’ve got along pretty well with consultancy based financial management but now turnover has increased dramatically, the business has become increasingly focussed on the future, employee headcount has never been so high, and the accounting requirements are becoming increasingly complex.  

This isn’t a job for any old accountant. it’s a job that runs close to blurring the responsibilities of a Finance Director and a CFO. It’s as much about looking forwards (strategy, forecasting and budgeting), as it is looking at the now (day-to-day running, reporting). The role will support a small team of transactional staff and works closely with a team of highly talented directors. 

You may be professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), or maybe you’ve simply got the experience to take on a role like this. The only pre-requisites here are for the successful candidate to ooze commercial acumen, be highly talented where technical accounting is concerned, and most importantly understand how they can add value to a young, on-trend, and fast paced SME.
