Interim Payroll Assistant (12-month FTC) – Barnstaple / Hybrid - £24,000
Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been re-engaged by a major North Devon employer to assist in their search for a Payroll Assistant, on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role is offered as a full-time contract and works with a business that has a major stronghold in the services sector and now operates on an international scale.
The business offers a generous hybrid working policy, which could see the successful candidate completing the majority of hours on a remote basis. Reporting into an experienced payroll manager, within a vibrant and supportive finance team, the successful candidate will be responsible for processing the in-house UK payrolls.
Key responsibilities to include:
-Be the first point of call for any payroll and pension related queries
-Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies
-Process monthly payrolls via BACS in an accurate and timely manner
-Upload pension data and provide detailed payroll information
-Ad-hoc duties including the preparation and inputting of new starters and leavers details.
The successful candidate will have excellent prior payroll experience and be up-to-date in the current payroll and pension legislations. Candidates should possess good general MS Office experience to include proficient use of Excel. This is a role that will call for strong multi-tasking, exceptional internal/external communication skills and an excellent attention to detail. A CIPP Technician, or equivalent, qualification is desirable but by no means essential. A desire to do the job in a timely and meticulous manner is just as important.
The company offers excellent working benefits including generous holiday allowance, a superb pension scheme and various non-financial additions. For further details including a detailed role specification, please contact Jay Vilarrubi-Smith quoting reference JVS9037 ASAP.
