Project Controller – Callington - £50 - £55,000

Trial Balance Consulting have been contacted by a long-standing client, a large Cornish services provider who seek to recruit an experienced Project Controller. This is a permanent and full-time position that will play a really important role in the success of the business moving forward.  

Based out of the company’s headquarters in Callington, the successful candidate will report in to a Head of Commercial Accounting but will also support an experienced CFO, Financial Controller as well as a wider team with new projects.

Key responsibilities to include:

-Setting up and managing the entire project accounting function (with a couple of direct reports).

-Leading the preparation of budgets for new projects.

-Leading the production of monthly analysis for each project, re-forecasting where appropriate.

- Reporting directly in to the board with data and insight for each project.

-Proactively identify potential issues to ensure projects stay on budget and are on time.

-Other ad-hoc project related duties as required.

Who’s right for the challenge? We’re looking for a qualified accountant with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role and someone who can manage and develop a team. You will have excellent communication skills and be well versed in all aspects of project accounting. You will be joining a fast-paced environment in what is a really exciting time to be joining the company.
